Boo

It's December. Christmas is right around the corner, which makes it the perfect time for a post featuring... ghosts. Isn't there a Christmas song that mentions telling ghost stories? Let's see... it's not "Jingle Bells." What's that other one?

Ah well. I didn't post this in October. I'm posting it now.
I thought it would be fun to sort of re-imagine the characters of Super Mario Brothers. Boo here is my first attempt. My goal was to make the style of the character as different as possible while keeping the subtle elements that make the character recognizable.

For those that don't know, here's what the little guy actually looks like.

Phone Booths for Nerds

Happy Halloween! I'm sorry this isn't a Halloween themed post, but... whatchamagonnado?

Someone over at the Action Cartooning forum suggested that everyone draw something Dr. Who related. I drew this. Although I have to admit, I've never seen one single episode of the show. Show? It is a show, right? Not one of them comic strips or Online Multiple Moo-Moo O's that all the kids are into these days?
However, I am a fan of another franchise, if you will, that also features a time traveling phone booth.
So yeah. Bill and Ted, Dr. Who... Potato, Potato.
Wow. That expression does not work in written form.

Sans Thread

I thought I'd have another go a design challenge going on at Threadless.

Daffy Duck sported this design on his "tail flag" in Duck Amuck. Now YOU can sport it on a comfortably stylish polo.

The Future IS Tomorrow!

I don't know if there has ever before been a poster promoting a video on YouTube. But as of this moment, there's at least three.

Just a little somethin-somethin for Number One Group Team Conglomerate.

Bartholomew Kelp

This was a fun little something I did for a Steampunk thread going on at Ben Caldwell's Action Cartooning forum.

Meet Bartholomew Kelp... the Steampunk Manatee!
By jove, I'd wager a deuce hog that if Ol' Bartholomew had him a pair a skotches, he'd be the jauntiest toff this side a Piccadilly!

Michelangelo is a Party Dude

Here's part two of my attempt at Saul Bass meets TMNT. For this installment, we have the one responsible for the phrase, "Cowabunga!" ...or at least the one responsible for its popularity.

I don't know. I'm not a vernacular historian. Is that even a thing?
